Matt Clark is a lifelong resident of the Southern Utah region, and grew
up on a farm north of St. George, Utah.
He became interested in welding and working with metal at age 15, when he
purchased a welding machine. Little did he know, his early interest in working with metal would lead to an artistic
career as a full-time metal sculptor.
Found metal objects,
steel and stone are used to create his unique sculptures ranging from contemporary to whimsical. The main process
used to create his work is arc welding, and also includes cutting, grinding and forging.
